Detecting OpenClaw / Einstein-like Agents

Meet Einstein, the most recent ragebait driven tool to “auto-complete” your learning. Something so salacious the creators already took it down amid significant backlash/pubicity across the web.

Here’s how it was advertised before the page was taken down / served a 404…

Illustration of a person resembling Einstein with curly hair and a mustache, on a bright yellow background. Text reads 'Meet Einstein' explaining that he is an AI that assists with academic tasks.
Infographic titled 'How it works' explaining the features of a virtual assistant named Einstein, highlighting tasks such as browsing the web, logging into Canvas, reading and writing essays, participating in discussions, and using messaging apps.

This is essentially OpenClaw (of “moltbook” fame), with a new name, a wrapper, a $40/mo price tag, and a specific set of instructions/skill you can give it to be an “Auto-School Agent”.

So does it work against Cursive/our Agent detection tools?

No. This is also detectable. Read our earlier post on the topic.

User summary and signals report displaying user information, scores, and server-related issues in a web administration interface.

An early version of this plugin is available at https://moodle.org/plugins/local_agentdetect (please note that our latest version with initial OpenClaw-detection is not published)

More to come!
