Major Features
Onboarding – while it takes about 3 minutes to setup Cursive TypeID, we’ve simplified the process by providing all users a guided, easy to complete onboarding process to make sure that you’re using the tool(s) for any use case. Our onboarding process is tailored by use case and includes everything you need to get started, including walking you through the “setup” process to log your TypeID baseline. The whole process still takes just 3 minutes.

Google Classroom Integration – for our K12 writers and teachers out there, we’ve now tailored the Google Classroom experience to be seamless, private, and completely local. This means that Cursive TypeID can be completely free for your K12 institution for teachers and students. Students and teachers alike still can view Authorship Reports to see student writing activity, effort, duration, pastes, and to replay the writing process. Teachers are provided this right in the Google Classroom workflow for evaluating papers.

Authorship persistence – Authenticated and verified states now persist across sessions so writers don’t lose context when they close a document, restart the extension, or move to a different workspace.
Shorter Authentication Window – We’re continuing to tune our model and backend for the best writing experience which is now shorter and more responsive, the main benefit is faster enrollment time and more checks per document.
Smaller Extension Size – Not everything is UX, we’ve refactored and revised aspects of our extension to make it 20% smaller. Less footprint, more capabilities.
Minor features
File name order – we’ve improved downloaded documents to lead with your file name.
Dynamic menus – depending on your onboarding flow we’ve decluttered and hidden irrelevant menus, buttons, and options for a cleaner experience.
Google Docs fidelity improvements – we’ve updated and improved authorship verification in Google Docs.
Improvements to Word Authorship Review pages – working with Azure and Graph API we’ve improved the Authorship Review pages for Word Online.
