On Wednesday November 19th, Marcus Green of Catalyst IT Europe joined me (and 100+ registered from around the world) to discuss the AI Feedback Question Type for Moodle LMS.
This plugin connects student writing (short and long answer) collected through the Moodle quizzes directly to an LLM of your choice. It’s capable of providing students automatic and real-time feedback, estimated marking that connect directly to the quiz marking system, and is fully customizable for each question.
In about 50 minutes, we covered the history of the plugin, the opportunities (and risks), and the research for using LLM-based feedback in your courses.
Note: This plugin is fully compatible with Cursive’s Moodle Plugin.
